Pier Point Bar & Restaurant Reaches Top 10 for Fish and Chip Restaurant of the Year, With Rising Star Charlie James in Top 8 for Young Fish Frier of the Year Award
We’re thrilled to announce that Pier Point Bar & Restaurant has once again been recognised for its dedication to excellence, securing a prestigious Top 10 spot for Fish and Chip Restaurant of the Year in the 2025 National Fish & Chip Awards by the National Federation of Fish Friers. Building on our success as the second-place winner in the 2024 competition, we’re excited to see if 2025 will be our year to take the top prize.
Adding to the celebration, our very own Charlie James has achieved an incredible milestone by reaching the Top 8 in the Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year Competition. Currently ranked among the Top 6 young fish friers in the country for 2024, Charlie’s talent and dedication have shone through, and he now competes for a coveted Top 5 position, which will be announced by the end of November 2024. We’re immensely proud of Charlie’s achievement, particularly given the high calibre of entries this year.
The National Federation of Fish Friers acknowledged Charlie’s success, commenting: “Congratulations on successfully reaching the Top 8 of the Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year Competition 2025. This year the calibre of entries was extremely high, so you can be really proud of yourself.”
